２０１６年１２月１５日に開催された　第２２回日本ＬＣＡ学会・ＬＣＡ日本フォーラム共催講演会において、IGES SCPエリア・エリアリーダー堀田康彦が、「アジアにおけるＳＣＰに向けた国際連携」と題する講演を行った。これは、本年から開始された環境研究総合推進費・戦略的研究開発領域課題（Ｓ－１６）の成果などを活用したものである。

２０１６年１２月８日に開催された　東京都市大学／ＩＧＥＳ／ＳＰＥＥＤ研究会共催特別セミナー「持続可能な開発目標元年を振り返る」において、IGES SCPエリア・エリアリーダー堀田康彦が、「持続可能な消費と生産（ＳＣＰ）：持続可能な開発目標（ＳＤＧｓ）合意後の新たな政策動向」と題する講演を行った。これは、本年から開始された環境研究総合推進費・戦略的研究開発領域課題（Ｓ－１６）の成果などを活用したものである。

２０１６年１２月に開催された神戸CSR研究会東京支部第15回例会において、持続可能な消費と生産に関する国際的な政策動向および、充足性アプローチと言う観点から、堀田康彦ＳＣＰエリアリーダーが発表を行った。
