Under the new President (Chair of the Board of Directors), Prof. Kazuhiko Takeuchi, strategic research based on the IGES Medium-to-Long term Strategy has been implemented. Aiming to contribute to international agenda and framework setting, the Strategic Management Office (SMO) was newly established to coordinate research activities. In collaboration with various stakeholders, IGES as a Change Agent, is conducting projects and operation to generate impacts to international policy processes by further strengthening networks in and out of Japan.
