運輸部門は、世界における温室効果ガス（GHG）の主な排出源の1つであり、特に道路輸送の比率が高い。道路輸送の脱炭素化には、技術革新と社会変革を組み合わせ、輸送手段を最適化することが求められる。道路輸送の脱炭素化に際しては、技術の進捗状況や商業化のレベルが国や地域によって大きく異なるため、地域ごとのまちづくりや社会的課題の解決につながるような方策が求められる。運輸部門の脱炭素化は、広範な社会構造の変化につながり、気候危機といった深刻な問題に対する解決に貢献するとともに、豊かな交通社会を導く好機となりうる。

事業概要 ①　生産国の現地情報収集事業 木材関連事業者が取り扱う木材等の合法性の確認を適切に実施できるよう、生産国（カメルーン、ガボン、モザンビーク ）における木材の流通や関連法案に関する情報を収集し、「クリーンウッド・ナビ」に掲載できる形に取りまとめる。 ②　追加的措置の先進事例収集事業 木材関連事業者が取り扱う木材等の合法性の確認のうち追加的な情報収集を適切に実施できるよう、違法伐採対策の関連法令が整備されている国（アメリカ、ニュージーランド、オーストラリア）のリスク低減に係る先進事例を調査し、「クリーンウッド・ナビ」に掲載できる形に取りまとめる。
