To contribute to building the knowledge on SDG interlinkages and providing a practical tool supporting national policy making, IGES developed a methodology for identify, quantify and analyse the SDG interlinkages based on the network analysis. A free online tool, SDG Interlinkages Analysis & Visualisation, which covers nine Asia countries, namely Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, Republic of Korea and Viet Nam, was launched in 2017 and updated in 2018 (V2.0) (accessible at: A couple of applications of the tool was presented including a case study conducted for Bangladesh to support the national government in priority setting and effective institutional arrangement, the identification of key SDG indicators based on the network analysis and statistical approach, and the interlinkages of sustainable consumption and production in the context of SDGs, etc. Proposal for linking big data and SDG interlinkages analysis was provided.
