ISAP2016
ISAP2016 - International Forum for Sustainable Asia and the Pacific
Registration is open for ISAP2016, IGES annual forum to be held on 12-13 July 2016 in Yokohama, Japan under the theme of "Translating Knowledge into Actions towards 2030 and beyond."

The international community achieved two historic agreements in the field of sustainable development: one is the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, including SDGs, and the other is the Paris Agreement to deal with climate change. ISAP2016 will invite discussions on how we can ensure effective implementation of these two agreements at international, national and local levels to promote sustainable actions going forward.

ISAP2016 will feature renowned international experts, including Laurence Tubiana, Special Representative for the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, Kaveh Zahedi, Deputy Executive Secretary for Sustainable Development, UNESCAP, and Hans Joachim Schellnhuber, Director, Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research.

Coalition on Paris Agreement Capacity Building Launched
「Can We Expect a Transformative Shift in International Capacity Building after Paris?: Observations from Party Submissions」 It is vital for all countries to improve their capacity in order to effectively put their targets into practice in implementing the Paris Agreement adopted at COP21. Experts including IGES recently launched the Coalition on Paris Agreement Capacity Building and began activities in earnest.
