From September 2015, the IGES Regional Centre in Bangkok hosts the Regional Collaboration Centre (RCC) for Asia-Pacific Region, which will provide a hub for Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project opportunities in the region.

GEF-Satoyama Project Calls for Proposals in the Indo-Burma Biodiversity Hotspot |
A new GEF (Global Environment Facility) - SATOYAMA project by IGES, Conservation International Japan and UNU-IAS was launched to promote the conservation of biodiversity globally in socio-ecological production landscapes and seascapes. It now has an open call for proposals for site-based projects in the Indo-Burma Biodiversity Hotspot.

Mr. Kiyoto Tanabe Elected as Co-Chair for IPCC Task Force Bureau |
On 7 October 2015, at the 42nd Session of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) held in Dubrovnik, Croatia from 5 to 8 October, Mr. Kiyoto Tanabe was elected as a Co-Chair for the Task Force Bureau. Mr. Tanabe has been Head of the Technical Support Unit (TSU) for the IPCC Task Force on National Greenhouse Gas Inventories (TFI), established within IGES.
